Abbott Jaguar has evolved from owner Ed Abbott's unique experience as a former Jaguar Apprentice and Senior Jaguar Development Engineer and his continued passion for all things Jaguar.
During the 1970's and 80's, Ed was busy, testing prototype Jaguars at Browns Lane, Coventry and was in at the birth of the XJ6 Series 2/3's, XJS and the XJ40, running test operations throughout Europe and Canada.
Ed left Jaguar in 1985 and formed, with his brother, the very successful Abbott Racing Motorsport Team which went on to win many Championships in British Saloon Car Racing over a 15 year period, on behalf of SAAB UK.
In recent years Ed has been more closely involved with the world of Jaguar, restoring iconic models from the 1950's and 1960's, and is a regular contributor to Jaguar enthusiast's magazines and a speaker at Jaguar gatherings. He is increasingly seen as the authority on all early XJ-S and V12 engined models.
Abbott Jaguar, with its strong Motorsport and Jaguar Engineering roots, occupies a large, beautiful rural site and is fully equipped to service, maintain and restore any Classic or modern day Jaguar, to the highest standards and is conveniently located close to Manningtree Station, Colchester and Ipswich.
